Atlanta Journal-ConstitutionA truly international artist, Terry has sung in 17 languages to date and been a soloist for the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, London's Queen Elizabeth Hall, and Moscow's Svetlanov Hall to name just a few venues. A past member of multiple Grammy-winning Chanticleer, he completed 116 concerts in their world tour at venues such as Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, and Spivey Hall with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
His voice can be heard on many major record labels alongside a range of artists from Madonna, Chaka Khan, Cyndi Lauper, Jewel, and Steve Smith to the London Philharmonic. His recording, “Reimagined Mercury”, a re-imagination of songs made famous by QUEEN's Freddie Mercury honoring the legend's original roots with use of nonwestern instruments, and giving a nod to his love of classical music, was considered for eight Grammy nominations.
Terry Barber's newest tour, “3 Tenors of the Americas” celebrates the cultures of neighboring countries. The debut concert July 10 2026 for the FIFA Fan Festival, Mexico City, 36 years after the original Three Tenors (Domingo, Pavarotti, and Carreras) made their debut at the World Cup in Rome.
